Noah Becker's "Benday Field Series" (2017), is a group of detailed figure and still life paintings in acrylic on canvas. The "Benday" aspect comes from Benday dots which Becker lays down in a field on his works. The dots are known in art history through the work of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. But the scale and use of Benday dots by Becker is very different than Pop Art. Becker's "Benday Field Series" places imagery and symbols taken from pop culture, google image searches and the times we live in to create unforgettable imagery.
