Andrea’s work focuses on what it’s like to live in a body (rather than what a body looks like). She considers body fragilities, temporality, and corporeality using ordinary materials creating abstract figure sculptures and paintings which enter a wordless conversation with the viewer. In 2020, she was part of "God in Reverse: When Wisdom Defies Capture" at Richmond Art Gallery in a show curated by Mohammad Salemy. She holds an MFA Visual Art from VCFA (2014); had solo shows at Back Gallery Project and Malaspina Printmakers; completed 2017 Banff Centre Spring Intensive Residency and two collaborative drawing residencies. Andrea recently received a Canada Council grant to create her sculptures. She teaches at ECUAD Continuing Studies.
